Sony Launches World’s Smallest Camera α5100 With Wi-Fi, Dual Video Recording And More..!
Powered by a 24.3 MP sensor, the
Sony A5100 is backed by a BIONZ X processor. The powerful processor ensures the camera reads, processes and sends data from all of the sensor's pixels for superior results.
The interchangeable lenses and E-mount system make the α5100 more versatile than almost any other camera on the market.
Regarding shooting movies, Sony α5100 supports AVCHD as well as XAVC S, and it is capable of shooting full HD movies at 50Mbps. While recording full HD movies in AVCHD or XAVC S, it can simultaneously record MP4 movies that makes it easy for you to share on the internet.
The α5100’s tiltable LCD screen flips up 180° to make shooting self-portraits a snap. Include other people, experiment with interesting angles or shoot against famous landmarks. When you press the shutter, the camera does all the work.
It also supports dual video recording, using full HD and MP4 format simultaneously. Both files get saved to the SD card, so users can share any file anytime.
A new zoom lever on the body of the camera allows for effortless one-handed operation and smooth zooming even when shooting self-portraits, bringing compact camera convenience to the realm of interchangeable-lens models. Perfect for use with Sony power zoom lenses like the SELP1650 (16-50mm), SELP18200 (18-200mm) and SELP18105G (18-105mm).
The Sony α5100 compact interchangeable lens camera will be available in September 2014 in black and white in a kit with a compact, versatile 16-50mm motorized zoom lens (model SELP1650) for about $700, or as body-only for about $550.
